Kentro is hiring for Endpoint Engineering Management and Reporting Technical Staff Lead to support our Veterans Affairs ESOM contract.

The Endpoint Engineering Management and Reporting (EEMR) Technical Staff Lead provides technical leadership across the engineering, integration, and availability of the agency’s Enterprise Endpoint Management and Reporting architecture and infrastructure, ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of endpoint management platforms and reporting capabilities.

This role serves as the lead for the contracting team while working in close partnership with the agency’s EEMR team, leadership, and key stakeholders. As a senior technical lead, this individual serves as a trusted advisor to the client, supporting endpoint management strategy, reporting frameworks, tool optimization, and data-driven decision-making.

The EEMR Technical Staff Lead plays a key role in expanding the Desktop, Device, and Endpoint Engineering (DDE) division’s ability to meet growing operational demands by helping to establish and mature a dedicated support team. This includes shaping processes, contributing to, and operationalizing standards, and ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery.

This role also supports efforts to improve visibility into endpoint health, compliance, and performance through enhanced reporting and analytics, while partnering with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and deliver reliable, actionable insights for both operational and strategic decision-making.

This is a high-visibility role supporting the agency’s endpoint strategy, responsible for shaping how endpoint data is managed, reported, and used to drive decisions. The ideal candidate brings both deep technical expertise and the ability to translate complex operational data into clear, actionable insights for leadership.

Location: This position can be performed remotely within the United States and will support Eastern Time working hours.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation efforts for the contracting team in support of enterprise endpoint management and reporting solutions.
  • Oversee the performance, availability, and scalability of endpoint management platforms (e.g., Intune, MECM/SCCM, JAMF) and associated reporting infrastructure.
  • Partner with engineering, security, and operations teams to support alignment across endpoint lifecycle management, policy enforcement, and reporting accuracy.
  • Serve as a technical advisor to the client, providing recommendations on tools, architecture, and strategies to improve endpoint management and reporting capabilities.
  • Contribute to and help operationalize standards, processes, and governance to support a scalable and sustainable endpoint management and reporting function.
  • Support the maturation of the Endpoint Engineering support team, including knowledge transfer, process development, and technical oversight.
  • Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities across the endpoint ecosystem and drive mitigation strategies in coordination with stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment with agency security, compliance, and performance requirements across all endpoint management and reporting activities.
  • Establish and maintain engineering and reporting standards for the contracting team while reviewing team deliverables to ensure quality, consistency, and accuracy across all outputs.

Enterprise Reporting & Analytics Leadership

  • Lead the development and delivery of enterprise-level operational reports to support endpoint management and engineering activities across the environment.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of web-based SQL reports and Power BI dashboards used for operational monitoring and executive-level reporting.
  • Establish and maintain enterprise dashboards that provide clear, real-time visibility into endpoint health, performance, and service delivery.
  • Develop and deliver enterprise scorecards that summarize endpoint management performance, compliance posture, and key operational metrics.
  • Ensure reporting outputs are accurate, consistent, and aligned with agency priorities, enabling leadership to quickly assess progress, risks, and areas requiring attention.
  • Provide regular technical support reporting that captures Level 4 field support activities, including trends, service volumes, and key insights from the reporting period.
  • Translate complex operational data into clear, actionable insights that support decision-making at both the technical and executive levels.

Supervisory Duties

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance for assigned contracting team members.
  • Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring clarity of expectations and accountability for deliverables.
  • Ensure the quality, consistency, and timeliness of team outputs in alignment with engineering standards and client expectations.
  • Mentor team members and support their ongoing skill development, particularly in endpoint management and reporting capabilities.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor team performance, identify areas for growth, and provide constructive feedback to support individual and team success.
